TCE sponsor Manufacturing Institute Challenge

TCE sponsor Make It! challenge

On Thursday 22nd November, Tata Chemicals Europe was delighted to sponsor and attended the latest round of the Make it! Enterprise Challenge at Cottons Hotel in Knutsford.

Eleven schools from across Cheshire took part in a fantastic battle to create their concept for a clean, hygienic and efficient food factory, facilitated by Grainne Patterson and Helen Edwards.
With their carefully created plans polished to perfection, each team entered the Dragons Den to present their ideas to a panel that included Terry Ellwood and Paul Byrne from Tata Chemicals Europe. Part of the pitch included being quizzed by the Dragons on customer needs, production lines, factory blueprints, product flow and marketing.

Although all the schools showed great effort, enthusiasm and passion for manufacturing, congratulations go to Poynton High School who were crowned winners and are through to the final next year.
