Learning &
development
Whether you’ve just joined or you’ve been part of the team for a while, your learning and development plays an integral role throughout your career with us.
LEARNING TAILORED TO YOUR NEEDS
From general courses that will benefit everyone at TCE to more specific modules, tailored to individual needs, TCE’s e-learning modules can make a significant difference to your skill set.
A PEOPLE-LED APPROACH
They asked. We listened. We’ve created an exciting and engaging development scheme. We know that development can mean moving sideways as well as upwards, and we give our people the opportunity to experience all different areas of the business. From our Aspiring and Emerging Leaders Programme to our Level 3 Team Leading Programme, our people have the opportunity to learn on the job whilst gaining a nationally-recognised qualification.
SUPPORTING PROGRESSION
We’re always looking for the next generation of leaders, so if you’re interested in taking the next step in your career, we’ll work with you to put development plans in place to get you there.
In 2022, we launched myPeople management workshops. The programme, consisting of five three-hour workshops, aims to provide our team of line managers with a practical toolkit and the necessary skills they need to deal with key management situations confidently and consistently.
FUTURE LEADERS
Employees also have the opportunity to put themselves forward for our Future Leaders Programme, a 12-month development programme made up of workshops and coaching that looks to prepare our team for the next step in their career. Participants finish by presenting to the board and many have achieved promotions off the back of the scheme.
YOUR DEVELOPMENT MATTERS
As part of your annual myObjectives, you’ll tell us what you want to achieve in the next year, and we’ll work with you to set out a development plan. Our contemporary learning and development portal, myDevelopment hub, has been specifically designed to meet the needs of our teams. As well as tailored learning pathways for those joining the business, there are eleven core e-learning modules as part of our onboarding at TCE including health and safety and code of conduct.
Training is accessible to all employees and ranges from bite-size courses on equality and diversity to management and vital regulatory courses.
